Three Moon Who?

Let me start off by introducing myself. My name is April, I am the owner of Three Moon Isis.

I grew up in the middle of nowhere on a working horse farm. Now, when I say the middle of where; the main "highway" went from your typical pavement to potholes, to gravel, and then to dirt. Yes, dirt! Oh, about 10-15 miles of dirt before you even reached our road. We lived in a log-cabin that was built by the Amish. I never quite fit in with the folks in my tiny town, and although I deeply loved the country, I knew I wouldn't stay there.

At 14 my mother moved my sister & I to a larger town. There I met a fascinating woman. She introduced me to the metaphysical world and helped me to look beyond what I was raised to believe. I knew the moment we met that she was meant to be my mentor. She introduced me to tarot & how to better listen to my intuition. Thanks to her I learned how to better recognize my natural gifts. Since birth, I have been able to see auras. So, I have worked in the energy field for as long as I can remember. Now, 22 years later, I own a metaphysical business and still work with animals.

For a while, I tried to come up with a business name that felt right. I thought of all kinds of different names. I even tried to draw inspiration from others. No matter how hard I tried, nothing that came to me quite fit.

Guidance told me to wait and listen. I was told that it would come to me. So, I did just that. I waited and listened. After many months went by, I started to receive guidance. It came from many sources... a few really good friends, on separate occasions, came to me and said they felt that I should have the word, moon in my name. I felt this as well.

I picked up meditating again (something I hadn't done in far too long). It was during a guided meditation that I heard my spirit guides say, "Three Moon Isis". Interestingly enough, the woman who was leading the mediation came up to me afterward and said that she felt that my name should contain the word moon! It instantly felt right and I knew it was meant to be.

Afterwards, people kept asking me why with all that is happening in the Middle East, I would choose to for my business name to contain the word Isis. Well, since the age of 14, Isis (the Egyptian Goddess) has shown up in my life.

For me, she represents empowerment and life. She is the mother to all. She is strong, yet gentle. She has an energy that brings forth healing. She is resilient and tenacity.

The number three attempts to draw your attention to the spiritual world. Your connection to the Divine is strong, your desires and prayers are heard. The number three serves as a message of loving affirmation. The number three is a moving forward of energy, overcoming duality, expression, manifestation, and synthesis. Three is the first number to which the meaning "all" was given. It is The Triad, being the number of the whole as it contains the beginning, a middle and an end.

I believe that like the phases of the moon, everything in our life is a phase and has a cycle. The moon is a visible symbol of life, death, and then rebirth. Because its visible cycles mirrored the life of women, the ancients believed that the moon was the representative of the Triple Goddess. Her three incarnations of maiden, mother, and crone were closely matched with the lunar phases of new, full, and old; therefore, the complete triad of goddesses is symbolized in the changing face of the moon. Like the moon, whose phases repeat and repeat, the final phase contains the knowledge of the others before it.

The phases of the moon serve as another glimpse into her intricate meanings.

Waning Moon:

Symbolic of letting go, surrender, release, quiet time, contemplation, and a time of incubation.

New Moons:

Symbolic of new beginnings, a fresh start, rebirth

Waxing Moon:

Symbolic of growth, manifestation, & attainment (heavy with child - both philosophical and literal).

Full Moon:

Symbolic of the height of power, the peak of clarity, fullness, and obtainment of desire.

Everything in life comes full circle.
