July's Eclipsed Full Moon Brings Out Raw Emotions!

"Tonight's full moon isn't just any ordinary moon. It's also a lunar eclipse — in fact, the longest lunar eclipse of this century, lasting one hour and 43 minutes, according to Space.com. Astrologers are predicting that the eclipse will intensify the emotions brought on by the moon. Don't worry, though — the full moon in Aquarius suggests a happy ending before rolling the credits.

Aquarius is the humanitarian sign that's all about bringing everyone together. According to Tarot.com, "The community-conscious Aquarius Full Moon reminds us that we are part of something larger than ourselves and that acting on our ideas and ideals will benefit everyone." It's also noted that because Aquarius is known as being one of the most outgoing in the zodiac, energy is also typically high. And in the case of an Aquarius full moon being coupled with a lunar eclipse, feelings can peak." - Bustle.com

The energies surrounding this lunar eclipse - full moon are ones of success, happiness, and fulfillment. We are blessed with the first harvest of the season - a reward for all of our hard work. For this reason, July’s full moon is known as the Blessing Moon (though it has many names). Energy moves into creation and opportunities for self-reliance and confidence, unity and balance abound. Now is the time to release anything that no longer serves you and welcome new growth. With a total lunar eclipse, it is time to reset your emotions, clearing out emotional baggage. In doing so we are welcoming your higher purpose.

You are likely to feel like your emotions are out of control. "Think of it as a compass spinning out of control and then landing, matter of factly, in the right direction." Tonight allow yourself to open up to possibilities and to new growth. Think of this as an opportunity to be shown the path forward.

We can all stay calm during this astrological spectacle — with 5 planets retrograde (Mercury being one of them) and a lunar eclipse that's also a full moon — by reminding ourselves to go with the flow. It is best to avoid discussing anything too heavy, as communication is a bit of a mess right now. So instead, take this time to reflect within and to allow space for yourself to release and expand. Take some time tonight to renew yourself and to release old patterns and feelings.

Healing doesn't mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls our lives.

Salt bath anyone?! I always use organic Himalayan crystal salt when I do a salt water cleanse, as it is regarded as the purest salt on the earth. It comes from ancient sea salt deposits in the Himalayan mountains, and has the highest mineral content.

Recipe for a Salt Water Bath

  • Put a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the bathroom door.

  • Drink a glass of water to ensure you stay hydrated and replace fluids lost through sweating. It might be good to bring a glass of water with you as well.

  • Fill your bath with warm water, the level of warmth is up to you. Don't make it so hot that you'll get uncomfortable.

  • Add 2-3 good handfuls of salt. Use a good quality unprocessed salt, such as unrefined sea salt or Himalayan crystal salt. Do not use regular table salt as this has added anti-caking agents and has been refined, which removes beneficial minerals.

  • If you like, you can add a few drops of pure essential oils for a lovely fragrance. Lavender is a good choice, because it will also help you to relax and unwind, and is generally very safe.

  • Soak for about 20-30 minutes. You can assist the process by relaxing and feeling good about allowing yourself this time just for you.

  • Make it your intention to let go of all negativity.

  • You can enhance the atmosphere by lighting candles or playing relaxing music or a guided medatation.

  • When complete, rinse off the salt with a quick shower if you desire, but this is not necessary.

  • Drink another glass of water to help your body flush out toxins.

  • Enjoy feeling lighter and more vibrant.

  • You can take a salt water bath as often as you like, but once a week is generally enough. SaveSaveSave
